[ Microbeads (Product Name: Matsumoto Microsphere®M-series, S-series ]
Matsumoto Microsphere®M-series are ultra fine particles having spherical form. These are available in two broad types, cross-linking and non-cross-linking types. They are made of Poly-Methylmethacrylate (PMMA) and are available in different particle sizes and shapes.
The cross-linking type has excellent resistance to solvent. While the basic shape is spherical, there are grades which display oval or elliptical bowl-like shapes, in addition to those with internal partial hollowness. Owing to these geometrical features, they possess high water or oil absorption capacity.
Matsumoto Microsphere®S-series are those cross-liking type fine particles featuring rubber-like elasticity and which are made of Alkyl polyacrylate. If used in cosmetic products, they will add on that soft touch to those characteristics imparted by the hard type M-series such as rolling and elastic effect of makeup.

Remarks:*Hardness determined by Ultra Micro Hardness Tester. A 50㎛film is prepared using a mixture of beads / acrylic binder = 1/1. For reference, PU beads which are available to market show hardness of 4.0 while M-305 shows hardness value of 19.7.
